The second Annual ‘Mulvey Cup Tournament’ Charity Golf & BBQ Event will be held on September 28th at The Mere, Knutsford, in memory of our loyal and fun-loving colleague, Steve Mulvey.

Each year we celebrate Steve’s life with an annual charity day at one of his favourite haunts – The Mere Golf & Country Club. The event takes place on 28th September 2017 and all proceeds go to Cancer Research UK.

The aim is to raise as much money as possible. Steve passed away in 2016 following a brief fight with cancer. Our target is to eclipse the £10,000 donated last year and spend the day as Steve would have done – having a good time! The golf will be followed with drinks at the 11th Green Bar and BBQ from 3pm.

Steve worked for M2 for over ten years and made many friends within M2 and with our customers, suppliers and partner organisations; as such we would like to extend the invitation to The Mulvey Cup to all those friends and welcome any support you can give to help raise funds for this worthy cause.

  • Book a team for the golf – we are offering 18 Teams of 4 available at £400 per team or £95 per person,
  • Donate a prize for us to raffle in the e-Auction,
  • Spa treatments are available for £35 for the non-golfers,
  • Simply make a charitable donation to the fund.

“This annual event in memory of our colleague Steve Mulvey is open to both colleagues, customers and partners alike to celebrate and ensure our memories of Steve are bright and sustained.”

John Taylor, CEO at M2

The inaugural M2 Mulvey Cup day was hailed a great success by the many friends and colleagues who turned out to honour Steve’s memory.

“Steve was a popular colleague, so when he passed away following a short battle with cancer many of his friends in the business wanted to do something to remember him, celebrate his life and raise money for Cancer Research”

David Knowles, Northern Regional Sales Director at M2.

The charity event was created to raise money for Cancer Research and as a day Steve would have enjoyed himself at one of his favourite haunts. Many of his colleagues at M2 wanted to participate and they marked the day with fundraisers back at the office. The M2 Board sponsored the event, our business partners, Ricoh, HP, Canon and Nuance along with our parent company SCC all supported the fundraising drive and key customers donated prizes for the raffle and silent auction, which alone contributed £3,000 to our £10,000 total.

We will endeavour to acknowledge all organisations donating within our communications.
