Secure Print-as-a-Service

We offer private, public and hybrid cloud deployment, hosting on or off premise, plus a highly secure managed print service through SCC’s Sentinel – our parent company’s own government accredited Data Centres – ideal for public sector and many specialist organisations operating to secure defence protocols.

Essentially a SaaS model, the delivery of Managed Print Services via cloud technology offers all the flexible benefits organisations expect in addition to reduced investment in IT infrastructure and resources.

Cloud MPS for Enterprise Customers

The virtual world opens up a number of opportunities and benefits for larger or multi-site customers seeking flexible new ways of working that will deliver “a positive impact on reducing costs and improving efficiency.” (Quocirca, 2014)

Cloud MPS is a completely secure environment – on-site print servers are replaced with virtual cloud servers, enabling further infrastructure consolidation and reduced IT burden.

Hardened & Resilient Platform

Our future proof cloud solutions are quick to deliver new innovations, upgrades and fault resolutions, improve service performance on a scalable Pay as you Go IT procurement model.

Secure Print-as-a-Service in the Public Sector

Secure Print-as-a-Service (PaaS) via Sentinel is a scalable and agile solution within a pre-approved security framework that government bodies require for the adoption of new solutions.

PaaS provides a Pay-as-you-Go IT procurement model that removes supplier lock-in and allows public bodies to grow or release resources with price predictability and high SLAs.

SCC’s Sentinel platform is accredited to CESG IL2/IL3 security standards to deliver a reliable solution 24/7 via the Internet, GCF, N3 and the PSN government networks.

UK Ministerial Departments use SCC

We have implemented PaaS to 20 locations enabling more than 500 users to benefit from secure card print release at the device.

Their sites have no infrastructure or print servers – instead these are hosted in the SCC Sentinel Data Centre together with uniFlow. Canon’s web-based architecture software platform facilitates communication via the cloud using a VPN connection to deliver remote roll-out and user authentication at each device.
